CIVIL ENGINEER (H/F)NETHERLANDS

For one of our clients based in the Netherlands, we are seeking a civil Engineer with the following responsibilities:

SCOPE:

• Design Control Management: Act as the Design Control Manager for Civil Systems.
• Systems Engineering Implementation: Implement Systems Engineering principles within civil structures design.
• Design Authority Role: Assume the Design Authority role, responsible for accepting civil design, assessing/approving changes, and managing design knowledge within scope.
• Ownership of Civil Systems Design: Responsible for technical design and safe functioning of assigned systems from inception to decommissioning by:
• Defining, refining, and substantiating project requirements.
• Scoping contractor work.
• Identifying and mitigating design risks.
• Overseeing contractor to ensure timely/budget-compliant delivery.
• Design Integrity Assurance: Implement requirements, procedures, and plans defined by design integration and assurance teams to ensure design integrity.
• Value Engineering: Enable design decisions through value engineering processes.
• Site Engineering Liaison: Liaise with site engineering for non-conformities and technical support on site.
• Support for Design Integration and Assurance: Support design integration and assurance managers for an integrated, traceable, verifiable, and validated design under configuration management.
• Support for Other Design Control Managers: Assist design control managers for services/utilities and nuclear systems to ensure correct design.
• Review and Oversight: Review POSAR, oversee independent reviews, support safety demonstration team for safety analysis report preparation.
• Support for Other Project Streams: Support other project streams including Construction, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Issue Resolution and Escalation: Execute and resolve issues within mandate, escalate issues, delays, overruns, risks, and work outside mandate as per SBS, WBS, schedule, budget, procedures.
• Monthly Reporting: Track and report monthly on design development, including activities, deliverables, risks, and issues.

PROFILE

• Education: Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years in industrial civil engineering.
• Language Skills: Full proficiency in English.
• Location and Availability: Willing to work up to 5 days/week in the Netherlands. Office in Alkmaar, construction site in Petten.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
• Adaptability: Able to operate in evolving project environments.
